The leaves of my rhododendron turn yellow and brown. What can I do?

(Survey: General maintenance of rhododendrons )

CHLOROSIS The edges turn yellow. This is caused by a high level of PH (above 7) and thus a calcareous soil. Use fertilisers enriched with iron and magnesium and try removing your rhododendron to a better suited site. OVERFERTILISATION Dry and brown edges mostly point to a case of overfertilisation, high salt concentration or salt water in the soil. Rince the ball or earth with lots of rainwater.
