My rhododendron has become too big! What can I do?

(Survey: Planting tips for rhododendrons )

In case you have a hybrid, you could move it with a sufficiently large ball of earth. Use a groundsheet to facilitate the job of moving your plant. You could also use a special Polymover to easily move large and heavy plants. You can also trim your rhododendron, although this is only recommended for a Cunninghams White or for a Ponticum. These types of rhododendrons can easily tolerate a trim down of maximum 50cm above ground level.
